Miscellaneous metal excellence at ORD Terminal 1.

At United Airlines Terminal 1 (specifically the flagship United Club), we demonstrated our versatility by shifting from massive structural glass to intricate miscellaneous steel and architectural metalwork. Tasked with supporting the high-traffic demands of the world’s busiest airport, MTH fabricated and installed a wide array of functional and aesthetic metal components. This included the installation of custom glass railings, protective bollards, and structural steel reinforcing required for the club’s modernization.

Our team was also responsible for complex logistical tasks, such as the removal of existing light poles and the reconfiguration of a major internal stairway, all while working within the highly secure and operational “airside” environment of the terminal. MTH remains one of the few contractors with the specialized insurance and airside expertise required to perform such precise metal and glass work in close proximity to active taxiways.
