Resilient decorative flooring for high-traffic hospitality.

At the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, MTH provided a specialized decorative flooring solution designed to modernize the hotel’s high-traffic pre-function and event spaces. To refresh the existing surfaces while maintaining the building’s structural integrity, we applied a self-leveling gypsum cement system enhanced with a pigmented epoxy coating.

This was finished with a high-performance matte urethane topcoat, creating a sophisticated, durable surface capable of withstanding heavy foot traffic from large-scale conferences and gala events. The resulting floor provides a seamless, contemporary foundation that complements the hotel’s “urban-gritty” aesthetic while offering the long-term resilience required for a premier Wacker Drive hospitality destination.
