Structural foundations for accessible wellness.

For the Easterseals Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family Fitness and Community Center, MTH Industries provided the critical structural steel and miscellaneous metals package that formed the backbone of this specialized facility. Working on the Near West Side campus, we were responsible for the erection of the building’s primary structural steel framing and metal decking, creating the specialized two-story volume required for the center’s gymnasium and elevated running track.

In addition to the heavy structural work, we fabricated and installed custom steel stairs and miscellaneous metal supports designed to meet the rigorous safety and accessibility standards of a facility dedicated to serving students with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our work ensured a robust, vibration-resistant framework for the high-activity environment while supporting the unique architectural requirements of a therapeutic recreational space.
